Even then, officially in Ukraine it's now 25th December. Their parliament made it a state holiday back in July since they adopted the "New Julian" calendar, something our esteemed window-dodging teacher seems to have missed on the 'free & fair' Russian news channels.

Old habits die hard though and I'm sure many people will be celebrating on the 7th Jan regardless. Or both, I would.

Two Christmases! Having two competing Orthodox churches is like having divorced parents it seems.

Yeah didn't miss it lad, just find it almost comical that nobody in the Ukraine will celebrate Christmas in the 25th anyway because it's not a commercial festival, but wow they're like us aren't they.

No doubt you'll see videos in Kiev of Christmas parties etc - despite the fact no slav celebrates it that way.
