I'm not sure this question is the smoking gun you think it is.

"Do you support Putin?" on the other hand is an excellent question which I'm sure you will post several replies to without ever answering with clarity.
 
Is it just me, or have even left wing spaces online gotten weirdly pro-Russia?

Pisses me right off, especially when the “leftist” Brits and Americans do it. Must be nice coming from a country that was doing colonial violence as opposed to coming from a country who was a victim of it

Is Russia’s invasion of another sovereign country a good thing or a bad thing mate? I think it’s a bad thing. I also think Israel’s actions and many of the US’s actions are bad as well.

What about you?

You can't be serious about this argument, can you...?!!!?? I've seen the chimps at my local pub try to argue this approach. They knuckle-up to the bar and say with the positive confidence of a 5yr old Santa-believer, "...tell you what, I know for a fact that there are Nazis operating inside the YOU-CRANE right now..."

And as a citizen of the USA I say, "I tell you what, you dumb-[Poor language removed] chimp, there are Nazis operating right now inside the USA, including the military...does that give Canada the right to invade us?"

They knuckle-away to eat a fig in the corner.

I'm not so sure that's the point of the question.

It's not a contradictory position to oppose the invasion of Ukraine and also condemn Banderites and the likes of the Azov battalion as they actually are Nazis.

It's the same to me as being able to oppose Israel's genocide of Palestinians whilst condemning Hamas for their horrific acts.

There's a huge swing to the right at the moment across the western world. I believe Russia is a text book fascist state, as is Ukraine. There is likely a few more countries shifting to the same position. We need to be vigilant if those in our own countries against this contagion before wars start breaking out elsewhere.
 
Interesting that the Nazi’s within the Russian military are never brought up though is it? It’s almost like that side of Europe still have far-right Neo-Nazi influences.

We’ve still got plenty in this country. That wouldn’t justify us getting invaded to have our women & kids slaughtered would it?
