It's not a great look like is it? 18 months begging for these fighter planes then they lose one on the first day of combat.

Their pilots must be pretty poor...or more likely they've rushed their training.

US ex pilots said from the beginning the F16 wasn't suited to the conditions in Ukraine.

Ukrainian military photo opportunity was geolocated next to an F16, not the brightest move.

It will be used mostly as a carrier of cruise missiles, 60 something planes from old Danish/Dutch stock wont change stuff dramatically. Russia got thousands of planes, if Americans want to change balance they should send more planes from their massive stocks, cause last time i checked they sent absolutely [Poor language removed] all (in terms of planes) despite having thousands and thousands of planes siting in their reserves.

Anyway there are no miracle weapons, in war of this size stuff gets destroyed and soldiers die, the one who got most capabilities and industrial base to replace stuff gonna win.
And considering industrial and population disparity between two states, Ukraine should use every trick in the book not to let their lifeline (Western benefactors) to not get bored/lose interest.
I guess Kursk thing served exactly that purpose.

Yes, it grabbed the attention, but it's not worked.

Their western sponsors can see that clear enough.

They also know that 44% of the population of Ukraine at the last count wanted Zelensky to sue for peace, and that recruitment is a massive issue with young men not interested in literally dying to get hand their election-dodging president a lifeline in negotiations. And I dont blame them either. Imagine dying for that corrupt gangster's bag man.
