Depends if you want your information in a cartoon form. Although he does get a lot right.I stick with Willy OAM. He's running an interview in a few days with a Polish fighter with the Ukrainian Legion who's been on the frontline for 15 months so that should give an accurate impartial overview of what's really happening.The guy I watch most on this issue is “ History Legend “. A young guy who appears to spend all his time studying what’s going on out there.
Whatever their intentions - they're getting a good kickingThe Russians weren't trying to take Kharkiv. They were trying to create a buffer zone and lay fortifications / defences / prevent attacks on Russian territory. The more significant war theatre remains Donetsk.
Im not down about it at all.You sound rather down about it tbh
Both sides have got that in the last 2 years.Whatever their intentions - they're getting a good kicking
You 100% seem peeved and look to be making excuses for Russian losses. Would not be the same if it were the other way roundIm not down about it at all.
It is what it is: a stalemate between two undemocratic and kleptocratic regimes.
Russia have been winning this war for a year. They turned it round last summer. And I haven't and I'm not crowing about it, because I see the pair of them for what they are.You 100% seem peeved and look to be making excuses for Russian losses. Would not be the same if it were the other way round
They've been let down by the West (US mainly). As a stand-alone entity they've done more than okay against a much stronger military power. They've sucked it up, learnt and adapted their tactics and strategies. Russia is running out of equipment - it cannot keep pace with the loss rate they are experiencing (even running a war-time economy). They are recruiting 30K mobiks a month just to replace their losses in the field.Both sides have got that in the last 2 years.
The losses have been horrific, but one that can be borne by Russia more than Ukraine.
The latter's casualty rate has to have shattered the whole of Ukrainian society and placed massive stresses on it.
Out of a population of 36 million they've probably had about 80,000 military and civilian deaths, with millions more badly affected by the war who have been either injured, made homeless or fled the country.
It's too great a burden. Too much of a price to pay. They've been let down by their leaders badly.

Fear and ignorance keeps Putin and his cronies in power - Fear and ignorance drives their war. Ukraine fights for freedom and, its existential for them. They will never stop fighting, no matter the cost.

The period is also finite for Putins rule. For all his gains in Donetsk and Luhansk;I don't think so. You cant expect a population to keep this level of effort up. The period is finite for total war like the Ukrainians are having to put up with.
He provides information you don’t get in the UK media. No surprise there though.Depends if you want your information in a cartoon form. Although he does get a lot right.I stick with Willy OAM. If WW2 showed us anything it was how long populations can keep levels of effort up to defend themselves.The period is also finite for Putins rule. For all his gains in Donetsk and Luhansk;
. He has lost control over the northern Black Sea & Sea of Azov area.
. He has lost the ability to adequately defend and resupply Russian interests in Crimea
. He cannot defend critical military and infrastructure sites in Russia itself.
Not what you’d call a successful outcome given Russian losses.
