That fella your quoting sounds like Ginger Bob , telling tales of 13 millwall legging 150 West Ham,
And it was only millwall kids aged 15 who tried to take the end and got stabbed on the St End in the 70s.

Do agree they should talk about ending the war.

We'll soon find out, no doubt. The families of Ukraine POWs find it difficult to get information about their loved ones when captured. The families of those shown will know they are alive, and can get the appropriate monies from the Ukraine authorities.

That's true. I watched a Newsnight report recently where it was highlighted that once a serviceman get's caught there's virtually no attempt to follow up what's happened to them. Like they become non-people.

I'm sure the appropriate authorities will say whether they should be shown on camera.

Ukraine families have found it hard to get information about POWs from the Ukraine authorities. It's important that families know about their loved ones. I think POWs in the second world war were allowed to send letters home, which may have contained information about how they felt about the war. Which could/ may have been censored by their authorities.

The west aren't trying to defeat Russia.. a defeted Russia is dangerous. A Russian victory but made too weak to attempt a similar land grab in another country is a win for the west, that point is probably getting close the losses Russia have taken will take a generation to rebuild and that's just to get to the point they were before the war.

Because it will show the scale of those captured, that's why they've virtually banned any talk of POWs. And they have to pay POW money to the families. It's caused demos in Ukraine, and one of the reasons corrupt crops up, time and time again.

Seems like the Russian forces are very active along sections of the front. They may sense there is no great enthusiasm for the fight amongst Ukraine troops. Also, they may be going for a big push before those conscripts trained by NATO are sent to the front. That's if, there isn't a military coup, first.
