Ukraine finance minister says donor 'tiredness' growing as war drags on

Ukraine is finding it harder to secure financial support as the attention of officials in key donor countries shifts to upcoming elections and geopolitical tensions heighten, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko told Reuters on Saturday.

"I see a lot of tiredness, I see a lot of weakness among our partners, they would like to forget about the war but the war is still ongoing, full-scale".
Ukraine Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko told Reuters on Saturday. He said Ukraine is making "twice the effort right now to convince our partners to provide us with support compared to the last annual meetings" in April.

Ukraine arent really firing more, its just Russian rate of fire has nose dived due to dwindling resources or artillery.

I think something has happened this past week in terms of a pivot in the war.

The Ukrainians have blown themselves out. That may be a short term thing with funding making them be more conservative with resources, or it may be that they just can't sustain the counter offensive through exhaustion and-or losses sustained, or they aren't best placed to handle a Russian assault in the north east AND try and push on further into the Zaporizhzhia oblast.

My son used to call him comedy Dave when he seen some of his posts over the past couple of years.

Had considered for a while asking 'the' question - 'is your behaviour overall the reason you got offed from the CA area previous' but though I have limited experience of those times, it seems it has occurred to no one. It'll talk up the alleged crimes of Zeleznyy but not the faith or alleged corruption or alleged nastiness of anyone else.

Amazing how this area attracts the rampant racism of that 'eighties' account when such behaviour goes so easily tolerated. Maybe my 'wheels' have fallen off.
