kev's pro-Russian views are not for everyone but he's providing the other side of the conflict's outlook and it does offer a balance and stop this thread becoming an echo chamber.

From the West's perspective, a key motivation for supporting Ukraine - not a member of NATO - was to avoid Russian aggression threatening the rest of Europe.

Russia's military capability has been badly damaged by the invasion of Ukraine.

Russia has lost more than 2,000 of its most capable tanks - so it looks unlikely that it will have the military capability to threaten Europe again for at least a decade.

The West's primary objective has been achieved.

This is the basis for a sell out.

Strangely enough I'm in this thread for updates and discussion on how the Sovereign state of Ukraine is faring against the terrorist state of Russia.

The abuse will only get worse, as it becomes clearer and clearer the US Empire's proxy war in Ukraine is suffering defeat after defeat on the battlefield. Where hundreds and hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers have died. All for the US Empire to try and damage Russia, which it hasnt, in fact it's the west that has been damaged in particular the EU, due to the launch of trade war measures against Germany by the US.

Democratic nations have no choice but to respond and stand up to Putin and his authoritarian cronies. If Russia lose in Ukraine there is a chance to undo Putins work and those he has brought onside will not be so willing for war. If Russia wins WW3 is an inevitability IMO.

Thats a very good point

Over the last few weeks the whole thing has started to unravel completely, and with it the intensity of abuse for any anti-NATO/Ukro post thats made has increased

the last gasps of a dying cause.
