I don’t have a “game plan” I’ll leave that to the Ukranian commanders.

Ukraine already has most of what it needs - their original game plan is sound. Tough going but sound.

Take Tokmak - split the Russian army, drop the Kerch bridge -,put their southern MSR’s under direct fire control effectively isolating 40K Russian troops in Southern Kherson then negotiate terms with Russia.
These are just suicide missions mate. Completely crackers. You’d have thought you’d have learnt by now, but no.

You are really completely sick and evil

What are they, 20km away from there now. How far deep is the incursion they've made since June...8km...

That's not going to happen going into the muddy and winter season.
Who knows at this time. Last report from the Orikhiv salient was released 7days ago.

They are through the main defensive lines and they were working to widen the breach and protect their flanks. Last reports indicated large Russian counterattacks underway but nothing since.

Don’t forget that Ukraines biggest gains were during last winter so although the weather will play a big part it’s not an end game as such.

Did you share the same sympathetic view when Russia were sending tens of thousands at Bakhmut?
Very strange that you think it's unacceptable and a tragedy for Ukraine to loose men but seem indifferent to Russian losses..
People dying in defence of their homeland has always been deemed acceptable and always will be, what's unacceptable is the tyrants invading these lands...

What’s done is done in terms of Mariupol Bakhmut etc.

tbf Russia gained control of those areas in the end. I see no such possibility under any crazed charge of the light brigade in Tokmak.

What I take from this is that Russian losses are irrelevant and worthwhile as they gained control.
I'm not arsed going through pages and pages of this thread but did you at any stage show any sympathy for the 10s of thousands of Russians who were slaughtered in the Bakhmut attack? You claim to show sympathy to Ukrainian dead but you seem to display indifference to Russian dead..
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 a sunflower for every month of a failed invasion.

The massive danger for Ukraine...and it's why they won't go too far too soon...is that they risk being encircled in a Russian counter attack. They have to broaden the breach and get a lot of men and heavy equipment through to make that sort of big land advance stick. That's why any gains will be painfully slow and why Tokmak 20km to the south isn't going to be within reach in the late autumn and winter.

They’re gaining nothing Dave. We’ve got people on here saying they laugh at the likes of Wallace - but who are actually talking like the plank himself.

It’s an outrage

Just on the big EU statement there yesterday concerning fast tracking Ukrainian membership and a £4 billion 'bilateral envelope': the devil is in the detail really.

Membership: there's no way the Ukraine can take its place in the EU in it's present state. The IMF are still handing down to it disciplinary measures to sort out huge levels of corruption, the agricultural nations of th EU will never allow the bread basket of Europe into its club to swamp their markets, and at least two nations - Hungary and Slovakia are dancing to the rune of Putin and won't ratify all this.

'Bilateral envelope': I mean that's just the continuance of good will on training Ukrainian pilots and a vague commitment to greater ties to an almost non-existent Ukrainian defence industry.

My feeling is it was just froth to take up the news day after the hammer blow on funding from Washington came.

Wallace is smarting at his humiliations and making waves for his successor.

I agree, the ground offensive is not even worth talking about there's been the capture of a one horse town like Robotyne but there's been no serious breaches. It's social media chatter and based on zero substance. All talk about splitting Russian lines and pushing toward the Azov Sea is fantasy. I can't see it happening ever.
