Happened a lot post WWII. Nazis had their uses for the West. Allied powers allowed them to run the Federal Republic of Germany as they knew they'd be a bulwark against the Soviets; the Yanks smuggled them out to exploit their rocket science via Operation Paperclip. Even the Irish state allowed a rat run out of the Low Countries and protected many Belgian and Ducth Waffen SS men and set them up due to the Catholic Church's rabid anti-Communism.

Still, at least we know the Azov Battalion are happily reformed now and the BBC can call them heroes in their broadcasts.

As we know the Russians wont tolerate anything less that total capitulation of the Kiev regime, they are ready for a decades long conflict in my opinion.

I dont think Trump can walk his way back out of this on those terms, will be interesting to see how he deals with it, but I see no change for the next few years at least.
