100%Safely say the war is at a close...
See Brazil has now said it will invite Putin to the next summit thus suspend ICC compliance.. Everyone need not question precisely how much of the international community is committed to restoring the territorial integrity of a pre-2014 Ukraine, if any doubt, its not very much.
He joined just before Russia invaded Crimea in 2014...Nah Kev has been here way too long to be a bot.
He‘s just a very unsavoury and nasty human being.
Nothing at all to do with the fact that Russia is now supplying Brazil with cheap oil.Safely say the war is at a close...

Its actually a good thing that indivdual states are prepared to follow their own interests.Nothing at all to do with the fact that Russia is now supplying Brazil with cheap oil.
Genuine question, emir and kev are not blues? They are long planted seeds who “live”among us on GOT and wait for their cause to become relevant on here or, they’re thick as f***, bigoted blues who back murderers and nonces?
I’m full of metaxa and Cretan wine and need answers
So how do you counter that? Cheap oil from other suppliers. Would domino the same action from other countries.Nothing at all to do with the fact that Russia is now supplying Brazil with cheap oil.
Bit naive to think the war is just gonna end.Safely say the war is at a close...

It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest - morals and integrity go out the window when it comes to a few shiploads of cheap crude oil. It’s actually a good thing that indivdual states are prepared to follow their own interests.
The global south has been completely lost now for the west. US aggression will only take you so far. We in the uk have no plan b beyond that, obviously, but who can blame any sensible nation for following what serves them best. The G20 statement that was 'soft' on Russia. The Guardian suggesting it's a matter of shifting priorities for the United States and that Ukraine may be slipping down the pecking order as they attempt to woo India into their camp and against the Chinese:
"The outcome is supremely irrelevant to the war. Nothing really has changed. Drones are still directed towards Kyiv, Ukrainian defence ministers are still calling for more and heavier weapons, and Zelenskiy is starting to prepare his people for a third harsh wartime winter.
But at another level, the softening of the language is a further signal that as Joe Biden faces an election year, Ukraine is perceptibly slipping down his list of foreign policy priorities as the need grows to nurture alliances to contain China in the Indo-Pacific.
Relatedly, it was out of deference to Narendra Modi’s need for a clear diplomatic win that the US did not push the Ukraine issue to deadlock. It is hard to underestimate how important the Democrat administration sees India, a powerful rival to China. Kurt Campbell, often described as Biden’s Indo-Pacific tsar, describes it as “the most important relationship on the planet”, adding: “It is no secret that India is one of most sought-after players on the global stage.”
Lavrov claimed Biden knew he could not afford to alienate Modi, the self-appointed leader of the global south, and that their stance was critical. “India has truly consolidated G20 members from the global south,” he flattered Modi.
If so, it suggests all Ukraine’s considerable efforts at diplomatic outreach in recent months – to Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India and parts of Africa – has not produced much reward. Turkey, for instance, used the G20 to tell the west to accept Russia’s terms to restart the grain deals.
Washington, for its part, senses that if it is to isolate Beijing, it has to be patient. Throughout the summit, US officials such as the deputy national security adviser, Jon Finer, tried to insert a wedge by referring to South Africa, India and Brazil as “the three democratic members of the Brics” and saying that they and the US were all committed to the G20’s success. “And if China is not, that’s unfortunate for everyone,” Finer said. “But much more unfortunate, we believe, for China.”...Ukraine can only hope that Washington does not come to regard a prolonged war and the search for wider alliances against Beijing as in some way in conflict with one another."
OPEC wouldn’t countenance flooding the market with cheap oil. They have their profit targets to hit and for them nothing else matters. So how do you counter that? Cheap oil from other suppliers. Would domino the same action from other countries.
Would that reduce inflationary pressures and actually reduce any anti-war sentiment in Western countries as people won't be connecting financial hardship with spending on a war hundreds or thousands of miles away?
