Why stage a coup and kill your fellow countrymen which weakens the president you serve when you could just move your troops to Belarus anyway? Additionally, the UAF is also already split, they still have forces in the North.

Appears to just be a glorified exile for those who are loyal to Prigozhin over Putin. Little tactical advantage for Russia in what has happened, especially as Wagner have been forced to hand over their heavy equipment.
