Can you show us where anyone supported or still supports these warnings Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan please. Or are you making this up to suit your rather weak standpoint? I'll bet that most downright condemn them and those that don't have serious issues with them that don't amount to support.

As for support of the Ukrainian right to defend itself, then most of us are guilty as charged. The right to defending yourself and not surrender yourself to the tyranny of an invading force is just.

I am a Russophile and find this war absolutely sickening. I advocate for a retreat from Ukrainian territory and peace immediately. I don't care for some posts here but Putin and his cabal have brought deserved anger and disgust onto Russia by their actions.

Hi Johnny, absolutely nobody on this forum supported those wars and, I suspect, many of us even actively protested against some of them. But otherwise a great point well made

Shogun, US miniseries. The #2 rated behind Roots, over here. The actor is Damien Thomas, and he absolutely kills the role.

So much going on in that scene. I love how Alvito gives a letter-perfect translation, but sucks the life out of Toranaga. I love how Toranaga already knows Blackthorne's critical line, before Mariko's translation, just on Blackthorne's facial expression. No one but Toshiro Mifune can play Toranaga.

It's eleven hours that are totally worth. The (enormous) novel was written by James Clavell. It's better than the miniseries, though it is a perfect rendering of the novel on screen.

I'm still waiting for the vaulting of a post where I have ever supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine or where I have suggested that Russia has an open or free society. The hypocrisy is owned by those who don't recognise that Russia have used the blueprint that the US and UK enacted in Iraq. Make up a preposterous lie to try to validate a reason to invade then murder innocent women and children. The thing is that Russia are well short of the numbers achieved by the US/UK in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya etc and yet are the only country referred to as a terrorist state. Hypocritical,don't make me laugh.
