Surprised he’s not been assassinated yet tbh. I know it’s not supposed to be the done thing in these type of conflicts but Putin / The Kremlin and the way they are going after infrastructure to hurt the population don’t seem to be too fussed about the norms of conflict.

I've wondered about that too. Perhaps the Russians would rather fight a war against Zelensky than whoever the alternative would be?

I'm sure they'd love to kill him, but he's most likely had advice as to how to avoid assassination.

I'm not sure if they would because those advising him would still be there, but it would double down the efforts from within Ukraine and the west.

Assassinating a world leader would cause fluffin' mayhem. If they wanted to do it, you'd suspect they'd have launched a barrage of strikes at his bunker by now.

Its because of MAD. Mutually Assured Destruction. The last thing Putin actually wants to do, at a time where hes becoming a pariah to both the outside world and many in Russia who would like to see him gone permanently, is to set a precedent that he thinks assassination is okay. If he has Zelensky assassinated he probably feels he may not live out the month.
