I just find it astonishing that there's a lever we can easily pull that will have hugely damaging effects on the Russian economy and we've got some leaders sitting around saying "ooh that's a bit drastic" - as tanks roll in on Kiev. Mental.

I genuinely think world leaders are hoping for a quick surrender from Ukraine and Putin to go no further.

I won’t post much in here as I’m horribly uninformed on geopolitical matters such as this, so will mostly be in listening mode to try to understand.

But it really jumps out a mile to me how many populist / right wing / grifter types have got a proper hard on for Putin and/or war. Most unsettling.

Some of them I think are just idiots. Farage possibly, Trump more than likely. A lot of them are getting money either directly or indirectly from Russia. Tucker Carlson, Tulsi Gabbard, Bannon are all on the payroll.
