No problem with artists voicing their opinion. That's part of being an artist. If you want to be writing letters to heads of state and having real influence, maybe accept some of the responsibility that comes with it and run for election.
It probably doesn't help that I can't sodding stand Pink Floyd.
Yeah although I think Waters raises some interesting points, some not so much, I just have an intrinsic dislike for artists getting involved in politics on a surface vacuous level and stating opinions publicly especially in the current world where they have an undue influence vis a vis their actual knowledge of a subject.
When likely more people listen my a multitude to a Waters or Bono than to a Cohen or Mearscheimer on a subject and form their opinion largely based at times on that, then it's disturbing.
Never liked Floyd myself, loved two albums (dark side and momentary lapse) but massively up their own arse as a band
