I don’t think starmer is in any way a Thatcherite.

When Thatcher was destroying the country he was campaigning and writing for some very left wing publications in university.

I think he’s just got himself caught up in saying whatever needs to be said to move up the ladder and gain power, but he’s far from a Thatcherite.

We’ll find out what he truly is when he’s in power.

Will be very interesting to see the reaction to a Labour Party in the age of social media.

Last time Labour were in power Facebook was still relatively new.
You not keeping up?
  • thatcherite
  • manchurian
  • red tory
  • kid starver
  • austerity imposing
  • anti union
  • rag championing
  • cia operative
  • torture and rape enabler
  • personal mass murderer
(ok that last one was a small lie to exacerbate the point)

Braverman in the Telegraph declaring the election over. A thinly veiled early tilt at a leadership bid. Apparently "We failed to cut immigration or tax, or to deal with bet zero and the woke policies we have presided over for 14 years". Before cosying up to Farage.

Jesus H christ.

The fact she said Reform were a new group with no structure or resources showed what a deceitful, vile creature she is. Reform are the astroturf group of all astroturf groups. They have their own national TV network ffs.

Truly cannot wait to wake up on Friday and look forward to a government that actually wants to govern. This rabble have been intolerable.

I have never, and will never vote tory but there are some through history that could be respected or had something of value to say, but by God have they scraped the barrel continuously since Brexit.

I won't vote Labour either this election (Polling 6% in my seat and I'd rather use the vote) but hope they manage to keep together and KS throws enough morsels in the direction of the left to stave off any major division once the honeymoon of winning fades.

….and in the meantime, folk won’t have to wait hours for an ambulance, sit on a waiting list for years or be treated in hospital corridors. Child poverty will be reduced, usage of food banks will drop.

Things that truly matter.

I’m really looking forward to it, let me know when it happens……

You see, this is what bugs me, your party have put tax up 27 times … yet their best form Of attack is to mention tax rises ???

I agree that over the years tax has gone up to repair the damage done by the last Labour government and then of course to recover from Covid. Sunak as chancellor and then as PM with Hunt did the country no favours, so I look forward to Labour reducing taxation, which obviously they will do won’t they…….

Repair the damage , ha ha come on Pete even you dont believe that . Stick to the Covid line. Otherwise you’re like a kid saying the dog ate my homework that I thought was due tomorrow and I’ve been really sick .

Well let’s be honest, they Can’t can they. The taxes raised by the Tories were never used to fix anything, apart from dodgy contracts for their mates. Covid undoubtedly cost the country, but it would have cost BILLIONS….. let that sink in … BILLIONS less with out the fraud and corruption overseen by Boris as pm and Sunak as chancellor. They made millions themselves out of Covid… what kind of scumbag facing a worldwide pandemic has the first thought .. “hmmmmm, how can I profit out of this” .. because that’s exactly what they focused on.

Uttee tripe.

Your lot increased the national debt despite cutting absolutely everything you could and still increased the tax burden to record levels. Hee haw to do with Labour and everything to do with the ideology of pigs with their snouts in the trough.
