Thought it was a solid cameo today. I rate Grealish. I really do. But I like what George offers more on left wing. George is moving, passing, he’s not slowing down the game to a halt. He’s looking to assist, but not primarily that like Grealish. He’s also looking to score. I’m sorry that Jack is hurt. But that also creates a massive opportunity for George to challenge for the spot. Make it hard for Moyes to instantly start Grealish the first second he can. I think Grealish should be an option, not the only option.

I’d love to see Grealish (providing we sign him) as a 10, with KDH as an 8 alongside Garner. George and N’Diaye wide with Armstrong, Rohl, Alcaraz, Gana, Dibling, Tim all offering competition / rotation / cover. Grealish slowing things up more centrally allows us to overlap with pace in the wide areas, or runners like KDH from midfield

Solid lineup and approach that. Actually force Jack to stay central and make quicker passes or shoot.

Very solid cameo. Two or three intelligent little passes and drove at goal and got his shot off when the opportunity presented itself.

The main thing that stood out was attitude. He wants to get on the ball and make things happen and he looked like a player trying to force himself into the team rather than playing with nerves or in awe of anyone. Nice seeing him jump on KDH back for the celebration given he’s only been here a few days he already felt like part of the team enough to be involved (I know he already knew KDH from Chelsea but he seemed like one of the lads already in general which is very encouraging)

Agree. Armstrong done well but think Tuesday is a good opportunity to give him a bit of a rest, think he needs it.
