Not denying we’ll have to spend to improve, but using it as an excuse to actively not want European football is so backwards (not saying you’re suggesting this). Fairly sure literally everyone's reported it as a 50m clause in the loan, but we can also let the loan run out and buy him afterwards for probably half the price, should he want to move to us.

The Barry deal also relied on City and the player, they might want to sell for money.

Anyway, George seems like a good player, he'll never shoot from distance like that for us under Moyes, we barely have any shots let alone 'potshots' like that.

Personally baffled why something which was obvious like squad depth wasn't addressed for a 2nd transfer window in a row - we needed depth before Grealish's injury, and we still do now with the addition of George.
