2025/26 Tyler Dibling

he played a year in the prem, he doesn’t need to be going to the champ

Disagree tbh. He played in one of the worst Prem sides ever. In the Championship he may have been able to get on the ball more, score some goals, get an assist (he doesn’t have any) and gain some much needed confidence.

If we qualify for Europe he'll not be loaned out as he'll feature a lot in Europe where I feel he'll do well

Harrison clearly hasn’t settled away from Preston, must have “character” issues and isn’t doing enough in training to get in to the matchday squad. This is what you keep repeating about other young players, especially Dibling, so must be true about him, right?

Dibling IS getting in the squad every week btw, just doesn’t get a single minute to grow as a player which is fundamentally terrible management, especially when McNeil who has had about 300 minutes worth of football this season looking like a professional footballer and the rest he’s looked every inch as much as a liability that a “young” or “inexperienced” player Moyes would deem to be.

….strange post, you think Armstrong hasn’t settled away from Preston when he’s had decent game time since  Armstrong has been at the club since he was a junior.

You don’t just select your bench without giving thought to balance. If Rohl and Iroegbunam are there for CM cover, maybe overkill selecting another given a couple of wide attackers, central striker and defenders also required.

I have posted I think Armstrong and Rohl have earned more game time and maybe should be used to freshen things up, similar with Iroegbunam. Very good listen on that Keane podcast where he says Ancelotti was fantastic at rotating, the best he’s ever worked with. Moyes could take a leaf out of that book but players have to earn game time.

I’m well aware of this but as I’m in the Tyler Dibling thread I thought I would just make up a spurious rumour and repeat it until it became fact 😀

Moyes has literally just said hes not going to give young players a chance when theres things to play for - when questioned on Braiden Graham joining the squad for West Ham.

He said he'll have to perform in preseason and see if he shows something then

Basically underling what some believe that Moyes writes an 11 down at the start of the season and goes with it as much as he can.

You have ONE CHANCE a season with Moyes and thats preseason.

Talk about demotivating, depressing and basically a stupid approach when most other managers use their squads.

Lets assume Armstrong is homesick as well lol

Delusional people making up stories and lies to support this manager.

Just take Moyes or leave him at face value, he doesnt hide his contempt for others.

Personally I don't see the point in playing young players just for the sake of it. Best XI on the pitch and get the younger players in when they can add something.

Dibling had chances at the start of the season and didn't take them. Despite the fact I think McNeil is a really poor player, I don't think we've missed anything by playing him over Dibling. I really hope that changes over the coming months.

People act like we will be able to play our second 11 if we get Europe, as if the standard is Championship or lower. I don't think it works that way. I think our second 11 would get rinsed in Europe.

Moyes is 60 years old, he's not taking a leaf out of anyone's book. He's a stubborn git who won't rotate, make enough substitutions or try anything out of the ordinary. It means his teams are hard to beat and have good spirit, but also that they are limited.

….even if we play our 2nd X1, Dibling might struggle for game time given Ndiaye, George and even Armstrong have been selected ahead of him.
Which makes him the worst signing in the club's history given he's our 2nd most expensive player ever, and the most expensive was ever present for several years until his alleged misdemeanour

You only need to look at the player development at Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth to see that young players need games.

Not sure what "chances" you think Dibling has had?

If you take a look at that then its clear hes been thrown on at random in games for a few minutes. Having watched the games you should also be aware hes been isolated on the right wing when he has started games.

Young players need a run of games to develop, build confidence and with attacking players thats often more so.
I have a feeling he will be transferred out to Bournmouth or Brighton. He clearly misses home and cannot settle here.

Just like Harrison Armstrong has had a sudden bout of homesickness.

Am i right lol
