2025/26 Tyler Dibling

…..not withstanding the obvious first choice wingers in Ndiaye and Grealish, the back-up pecking order seems to be;

1st) McNeil
2nd) George
3rd) Dibling

Decisions to be made in the summer regarding Grealish and George. McNeil entering the final year could be offered a new deal if he continues to impress.
Going forward he is only ever likely to be a squad player and I would imagine Dwight would like more game time than that.

Come on mate be serious, McNeil is not getting a new deal, what have we seen in the 3yrs to think he’s helping us reach the level we need. What next, if Beto scores a few more goals he gets a new deal. Di you want us to progress or not ??

I dunno - McNeil has impressed since coming back in the team. Seems a good professional.
I’m sure he is. These decent performances will give him more options in the summer, and that’s great for him if he is to have a fresh start.

If we wanted to be really harsh, we could ask why “he’s been training well” for the last couple of weeks. Why wasn’t he training well over the last 12 months? Moyes had clearly sidelined him, but it’s fair enough that if he’s trained better than the other options, play him. Will he stop training so well in 12 months time if he hasnt got any minutes for a few months?

Unpleasant talking about him like that during his redemption arc and his deserved reception from the crowd, but we can’t ignore all the water under the bridge. And let’s not forget we cry every single week about our lack of pace.

I think he’ll get one if only to prevent him going for free.
Doubt our Texan overlords will be thrilled with a multimillion £ asset going for zero whe. They can throw him a few mill for a season before flogging him for 10x more.

I'm not outraged by it, but I am concerned that we paid a lot of money for him and he needs minutes to develop. At 2-0 last night I'd have brought him on. Moyes sees more of him in training than I do, so mine is a relatively ignorant opinion, but the crux of it is that whether he sinks or swims, he will need to play games at some point in the not too distant future
I honestly thought that last night , we’ve had a couple of good results so I’m not interested in having a go at Moyes . It’s just that the same as you I’d have brought him on at 2-0 , it actually felt like a perfect opportunity.

Seems clear the manager sees it differently which I find odd but ultimately it’s his decision especially when we’re getting the 3 points .

…McNeil is back-up (ahead of George and Dibling) so we’ll need to bring in better than him if we want to reach the next level. It does beg the question, what happens to the two behind him in the pecking order.

Moyes might well think McNeil is a useful asset next season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s offered a new deal. Of course, he could be sold as he might be the only one other clubs are interested.

He wasn’t ahead of them a month ago, when he was minutes away from joining palace, if Moyes wants to keep him next season that should be instant dismissal

Getting 20mil again would give us 15mil plus profit. And that could get us a 60mil player. But yes let’s keep a poor players and even give him a new deal. I’d loose all faith in the new owners and kinnear etc, having good football acumen moving forward

Why would we sell Tim and Alcaraz? We'd have to replace them.
Because they ain’t playing and could make us a decent profit to buy better, with gana 37 and probably going or
Not playing as much next season . We will be buying a new midfielder, plus we have Armstrong and we have to buy Rhol.

Patterson, Myko, Tim, Alcaraz,
McNeil and Beto could make us 60 plus in profit. Or would rather us sell Branthwaite or Ndiaye
