2025/26 Tyler Dibling

For the very brief period he was on the pitch he was closing down and working hard which was good to see, but still ran into trouble lost the ball at a time when we just needed to keep hold of it. Maybe trying to hard to impress, but you can't come on and then start to put the team under pressure.

He's got the talent, hopefully he'll be working hard in training and when he gets another chance he'll take it.

To be fair, he had JUST walked onto the pitch, that happens often when subs come on cold into game, he did recover form that well and looked decent.

But, yes you are right...he needs to be better, and scan better.

Am not remotely interested in the feelings of Tyler Dibling or whether he feels hard done by.

The faux outrage to him not getting enough "minutes" is laughable.

As is the outrage he's not trying hard enough when he's rarely on the pitch for more than 3 mins, more likely to pull a hammy at the mo if he comes out like a headless chicken.

I do get that he his demeanour does not especially endear himself to the fans. Frankly I'm just surprised we bought him. When we did I thought it signalled a change to the way Moyes sets up, it didn't.

That said he's being paid more money than most of us will ever see so just needs to keep plugging away.

I'm sure his agent already has feelers out sensing another fee. But unless we once more indulge in that Everton tradition of paying most of someone's wages while playing for another team the lad is stuck.

Vaughan ?

Rodwell?

They were all 16.
Hardly gave those huge game time. Not forgetting how piss poor the squad was when Vaughan made his debut. We have a much better squad now.

The thing is Moyes just doesn’t trust him. Although his performances haven’t been great so there’s hardly a reason to fight his cause. He did do well against Forest away.

This one is looking more and more likely that Everton will need a managerial change in order for Dibling to crack on here.

Vaughan made his debut in the season we got 4th. Just saying.

Considering he is our second ever highest transfer and, by all reports, is the closest thing to Bale/Gazza people have seen, I think this is a daft take. Either the people who scouted him are absolutely useless and should be sacked, the people who sanctioned the purchase have no clue about value and should be sacked or the manager is useless to get one of the better young talents to show ANYTHING all season besides seconds of appearances. If he's cack in training that's on both the manager, the scouting team AND Dibling. I said the first half of the season it would have made a hell of a lot more sense to spend 20m on a winger and 40m on a striker than 40m on a winger and 20m on Barry. What do I know tho, I just look at how the teams are set up and where we need to improve.

I'm not outraged by it, but I am concerned that we paid a lot of money for him and he needs minutes to develop. At 2-0 last night I'd have brought him on. Moyes sees more of him in training than I do, so mine is a relatively ignorant opinion, but the crux of it is that whether he sinks or swims, he will need to play games at some point in the not too distant future

Get fullbacks for next season. Give our wingers something to work with. I fully believe Dibling was the wrong signing but he is only being left to hang with the lack of support from the wing. He is not a pace merchant or somebody that can get in behind in a foot race.
