2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Why tho, your supporting a player not the club than..

The lad should have been given alot more time, there is no question he has the ability, just maybe there is something we aren't seeing behind the scenes.

Could be as simple and infuriating as not having a proper Rb.

What it is 🤷‍♂️

Im not highlighting dibling alone. I think the team selections are utterly bizarre.

Players play poorly and remain. Players play well and are dropped. Theres a better balance which is ignored next game.

Its utterly shambolic and we should have been hammered the last two games.

We can be happy about results. We can also be unhappy about all sorts of things.

I dont see any merit based thinking in team selections. I dont see any player development. Im tired of it.

If you listen to Moyes when he is talking about Dibling I think he genuinely wants to put him in the team but whatever his criteria/checklist for players in training to get selected is, Tyler just isn't meeting it for whatever reason.

Impossible to compare situations as so many subtle differences, but worth noting the 17 year old kid Brighton have given a start to on the right today. Full debut I think. Nothing like the ability on the ball as Dibling, but getting himself around the pitch, trying to be strong. Looks really bright. Lost the ball a few times but keeps asking for it etc. Most importantly looks like he really wants people to say he did well and clearly enjoying himself.

A good reset for Dibling would be to just run himself ragged next time he starts. If he’s knackered after an hour, fine. Take the applause for the effort and pressing and build on that.

It's okay to have ability but a player needs to show it when given the opportunity.

I think something that is really working against Dibling is how lackadaisical he *looks*, like in terms of general vibes. It really colours people's opinions of him. Similar to how Barry looks very gawky and that makes people think he's worse technically than he actually is. He actually presses more than most of our players:

I think he could really work on his aggression, which would both help his play and also help get the fans onside, but he definitely works hard. It was the same at his Southampton days.

(Side note, yes Röhl is an absolute pressing machine)

Well it’s not like he’s not had enough warnings, apparently this is stapled to the back of every door at Finch Farm and BMD

Funny to compare KDH & Rohl's numbers there. Also to see Gana in the middle of them...how times have changed.

Diblings overall numbers i would guess arent bad at anything at all. Aznous numbers in his cameo, Georges last game and armstrongs would be strong.

If they arent 25+ then theyre fighting an uphill battle

Can see him going to Bournemouth in the summer which would work for both parties. He'll get to be nearer home at a club that constantly brings through young talent, and we'll recoup most of the fee (we'll probably get £20 million and his book value will be about £25 million) which we can use on a fullback.

If Bournemouth gave up this quickly on players then they wouldn't be a club that constantly brings through young talent.

We're not getting rid this summer unless he wees in Moyes' cereal.

He's barely playing, what is the point in us keeping him?
Age 19:

Grealish played 900 minutes for relegated Villa
Doku played 460 minutes for Rennes
Salah wasn't even playing senior football
Semenyo played 300 minutes for Bristol City
Palmer played 123 minutes for City

Would there have been any point in keeping any of those do you reckon mert?
