OK let’s remove the comparison, what has Tyler Dibling done on the pitch for us that shows that he should start ahead of anyone in our team?Theres your problem, comparing 2 totally different players and people.

The comparison was there to illustrate that he also must not be showing it in training either because Armstrong and George have got game time as young lads and will both likely get more game time against Bournemouth as they both played well. So if Dibling isn’t showing it on the pitch (however limited his time has been) or in training, why should Moyes play him more?
I really hope Dibling comes good and I can see he has talent (I saw it briefly when I saw him a couple of times for Southampton too) but Moyes job is to get results and he’s getting enough good results to get us right up in European positions after three seasons of relegation battles.
I don’t believe we would be in a better position in the league if we’d have played Dibling more often and if we were in a worse position in the league, Moyes’ job would be in danger because that’s the kind of league we play in.
Utter garbage. What great performances are these?I think we can simply remove logic and merit from the discussion.
We were told how Rohl was amazing in training and yet he looked like a nothing player in games. Then many fans praised him against Villa, he was the dropped.
There can be arguments made for Iroegbunam & Alcaraz putting in great performances for Moyes. Then dropped.
Gana was red carded and then off to AFCON. The balance looked good while he was unavailable with KDH & Garner.
Who walks back into the 11 ?
Moyes saying Dibling "needs to pull his finger out" and create chances and score bears zero reflection on the setup where wingers can be totally isolated and asked to slow the play down.
There is no merit nor any semblence of logic to the decisions from a fans point of view.
You’ve completely ignored my point and then after telling me we can’t compare Dibling to other players you’ve talked about a load of other playersI think we can simply remove logic and merit from the discussion.

If he'd have cost 10 million nobody would be voicing that much disappointed in the minutes or lack of them he's getting. It's up to him to show enough to get anything more than the last 5-10 minutes. The questions need to be asked about who in the club thought that north of 30 million was a good price to pay purely for potential. You’ve completely ignored my point and then after telling me we can’t compare Dibling to other players you’ve talked about a load of other players
I don’t disagree that Gana shouldn’t have walked back into the team but this is the Dibling thread…
Dibling has done nothing to warrant a place in the team and we all wanted him to do more in his performances so far.
Moyes has us fighting for Europe by doing what he’s doing, however much we may or may not disagree with some of his tactics or personnel choices, and there is no good reason for him to play Dibling over the final 13 games when he’s not shown anything yet.
I hope he comes on with 20-30 minutes soon and gives Moyes a reason to change his mind but so far he’s done nothing and really does need to pull his finger out, I don’t see how anyone can think otherwise.
Very much a case of buying the fullback before you buy the winger.I remember when we signed him there were comparisons in his style of play to Chris Waddle now although I rated our tricky Trev higher he went on to have a stellar career,I do recall at times watching him and if he was "off" it he could look really laxidaisical/lazy and a luxury player, hopefully this kid blossoms eventually,I've seen little cameos which gives hope but he looks to me like he needs an attacking full back to work in tandem as he looks totally lost in this system we play, hope he improves as it's a massive outlay we could have spent in other areas![]()

I think I'd be wanting to see a reaction in training before I put him on the pitchNot sure what the point was of slagging the kid off then giving him no opportunity to show that he’d maybe taken the “advice” on board?
Perhaps next season Dibbers.
Dibling has been here 5 monthsI havent compared Dibling to other players.
I've made the point that the manager doesnt select players based on merit or logic.
You seem to think that if Dibling plays well Moyes will use him. Thats simply not true.
Dibling has been here 5 months
George had been here 5 days
Both same age and one walks straight into the first game.
George was probably the first person to run over and celebrate with KDH yesterday, Dibling strolled towards Beto after scoring at Brighton.
Age/Ability certainly isn't a factor here, but something is..
Why tho, your supporting a player not the club than..I think we can pick out a number of players and find no correlation to what we believe are reasons for them to play and what actually happens.
Its beyond any rhyme or reason why some players are being used consistently, others are barely given a chance and some are used at random.
I've pretty much had enough.
