Was looking forward to this despite not being remotely arsed about the comics but it’s getting pretty poor reviews which is surprising for a high budget HBO series... makes me think it might just be angry comic book nerds neg bombing it because it’s not entirely faithful to the comics.
8.6/10 IMDB is good enough for me.

Just finished that first Watchmen ep and actually really enjoyed it.
One of my fave graphic novels and movies but you kinda have to ignore what's come before this TV series as whilst set in that universe I don't think it's specifically meant to be seen as a sequel. It's got a very topical main theme eminating from this first episode.

Oh must say the soundtrack for Watchmen was really strong.

I dont know anything about whats come before the series or seen the movie from a few years ago and I thought they could have done with a bit of background on the characters. But I also seen the preview for what coming in the rest of the season (at the end of the episode) and it looks nuts. Hopefully the storyline is easy to follow.
All characters you’ll have seen so far (almost) are brand new to the universe so the backstory will naturally follow.

Just watched all 8 episodes on iplayer, that's a really good show and i really enjoyed it, clever story with lots of detail and stuff.

Just started this to get in the Halloween spirit and it’s absolutely bonkers. I’ve never seen any of the Evil Dead’s before.
