TV Series

Yep, every bit as entertaining as The Sopranos.
Don't know why it took this long to get round to watching it but glad I did.

Stephen graham plays al Capone well in it too !

i didnt really like it hat much at the time of watching it , but reflecting back on it, it was a very good show and well made, with loads going on in it. some of the tv shows these days are very bare and spread out too long

He loves those gangster roles doesn't he.
Agree with you on some of the other shows, they seem to have a couple of good series and then lose their way with the plot.......like they ran out of ideas for continuity, The Walking Dead was a classic example of this.

Am working my way through Married with Children atm had forgotten how funny that was......... Note to self - Al Bundy would make a great PM.

Think it's more an indictment of our times than an indictment of the show that it seems "cheesy".

It'd definitely escapism of the "wouldn't it be great if...." variety, but very very rarely strays into cheese for me. Wonderful show.

maybe i mean more schmaltzy than cheesy

and being fair the last time i tried it, i went from The Wire to this and it didn't come off well with all the overly snappy dialogue in every scene and dramatic moments abounding.

i realise i should judge it just for what it is, and it feels like something i should like but i don't think i made it past S2.

Just started American Crime Story season 2 which is about Versace's assassination, season 1 was good with OJ but im not sure how season 2 is going to match it given the story behind his death doesn't seem that interesting relative to OJ's case.

End of season 2 are the best couple of episodes of tv I’ve ever seen.

Season 2 is brilliant, better than season 1 for me.

It's completely different and gets really creepy.
