I chose to watch Collateral, as it sounded darker and BBC generally do better dramas than ITV.

The first episode was very good, with lots of twists and John Simm was excellent as always

Trauma went a bit soppy at towards the end when it almost became a party political broadcast for whichever persuasion you wanted.
I'll give Collateral another go next episode.
Up against Marcella from Monday I believe. Now that did lose me after a couple of episodes last time out.
This series tackling paedophilia and very dark according to previews.

I struggle with ITV dramas too for some reason. Always seem more predictable and overly sentimental.

I`m guessing the reason that ITV dramas tend to be "lighter" , is that they`re reliant on advertising revenue, which means appealing to the masses, so they never go full on dark with their stuff.

Been watching Altered Carbon this week, probably finish it off tonight.

Itsa decent watch. I know it is based on books so the story probably doesn't stray too far from it but its been a decent first series if they ever make more.

My gripe with it as a viewer is that it doesn't take advantage of things. the idea that anyone could be anyone (context to the show) and you don't seem to get that?

Yes that's the one , but I think they're all from Bradford. Sara Cox has a Lancashire accent though and makes me horny.

Enjoyed it, but no way that ends well is there over the coming episodes ?

i don’t normally watch stuff like that but it was good . I don’t envy the people moving in but you got to admire them . Even once they settle in they are going to have a bumpy and stressful few years . They’ll be in for some sleepless nights while they are living isolated .
