TV Series

As one of the initial supporters of Gomorrah :p

I have to say McMafia is excellent. The level and quality of plot as well as acting from all is superb.

For those commenting that some (including Alex Godman) are rather wooden...I've met with a fair few people in his line of work and most of them are just as cold and calculating as him...a fabulous portrayal.

Very much hoping that there will be a season 2....anyone know?
I really enjoyed McMafia and thought the BBC did a very good job, yet to an extent that I do agree with @coollino that it was a tad predictable.

It epitomised the whole Michael Corleone character theme: an individual who is determined to not be in the family business but forced into it...

...which ultimately makes them more ruthless than their counterparts. It's not success that drives them yet rather it's the survival of their family.

If you change the time, location and characters then it isn't much difference from the Godfather really, hence why the ending was predictable.

If they do make a second series then I'm sure it'll be his (Alex's) further dominance vs. his distancing from his family *cough*Godfather II*cough*.

Exactly why I stopped watching after two episodes

Not the most enthralling of series as far as I'm concerned although it held my interest to watch all of the episodes.
I see a few comments about James Norton agree with my thoughts. That is that the series didn't do him any favours in being Daniel Craig's successor.
