"No character development"

So you're saying that Robert, Yasmin, Eric and Harper have no character development.

Thats just comical. A masterclass in alexithymia.

Can only assume 2001 A space odyssey is the emotional character development you crave.

I'm teasing but maybe go onto the reddit chats and see how people are complimenting the series for the dramatic character evolvements season on season.
I actually am colourblind but not the emotional form as far as I know. Don’t get the 2001 reference but fair enough.

Robert I will give you to a degree. He did develop a bit but largely he was a guy with an understandable chip on his shoulder who only realised his mistakes the episode that his character was written out.

Yas is and always has been a spoilt rich kid trying to prove herself and consistently failing upwards. Just falls into new opportunities that she doesn’t deserve because she is attractive and connected. And continually makes terrible decisions off the back of that. She basically has this character arc in every season just with a different benefactor.

I will lead onto Harper here as their relationship is ridiculous. Constantly screwing each other over for their own benefit but then miraculously becoming friends again before once again screwing each over. And repeat.

Harper is clearly intelligent and good at what she does but repeatedly screws people over and like Yas somehow always gets away with it. She has also done this in every season, often with Eric as the foil of her skullduggery.

Eric is an old hand stuck in his ways of the previous grandeurs of being a banker. Again, any time he show signs of growing he falls back into the same traps again. Also manages to fail upwards over and over again. Bet he comes back in Season 5 and somehow gets over the issues he has with this Epstein ripoff story they have introduced with Whitney.

Muck they try and sometimes succeed in giving him interesting stuff but the outcome is the same. Rich, mega connected douche continues to fail upwards.

Vaguely interested to see what they do with Rishi but he’s in jail so wouldn’t be surprised if he’s just written out of the show.

Kenny has had some character development I guess but very much a bit part player now.

But largely it’s just bellends doing the same thing over and over again and getting away with it with no real ramifications.

I’ve watched it all, I don’t hate it. It’s very watchable. But I just don’t think it is anywhere near as good as the hype and reviews would suggest.

Two years and a few months after starting, I'm finally up to speed with the One Piece anime. 1155 episodes. The greatest story I've ever witnessed. It will be weird only getting one new episode per week going forward.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Despite it being much slower than Game of Thrones, I really enjoyed it.

The jousting scene was immense and very Game of Thrones.

My only gripes would be that at six episodes it was way too short and that the episodes where too short in themselves - 30 -35 mins .

It`d have been much better, if they`d made 10-12 episodes and made them a bit longer.
They're based on very short stories and the best bits and dialogue are lifted straight from the page. Just like GOT it's at its best when they use the source material and stretching it out would have the Hollywood writers doing what they did to GOT 6 and 7.

There will be three seasons, maybe a fourth if he writes one of these again but he doesn't write much of anything anymore.

Tbh they did well to get as much out of the story as they did. I much prefer this than something like The Hobbit where they stretched it out with additions.

Better watch yourself with that mate you'll be preaching it soon...

Not for the first time and probably not for the last it took me a second to realise you meant Game of Thrones and not this place.
