TV Series

Watched the first 3 episodes of Fallout last night.

What I love about it most is the attention to detail - they've got the 'look' of the games down pretty well, so brownie points for that.

Some of the performances have also been really good, Walton Goggins in particular. Did think there were one or two iffy moments with the script & the editing though, namely in episode 2 during those scenes in Filly.

That being said, really strong start overall. The soundtrack also is just *chefs kiss* near perfect.

I've watched 6 so far. As you say the attention to detail is fantastic - so many nods without distracting from the story.

Love the soundtrack but it's a bit of a letdown to see Ramin "Game Of Thrones" Djawadi get the big music credit when so much of it is took directly from the game and the work of Inon Zur.

5 episodes into Fallout.
I’m really impressed, Walton Goggins stealing the show so far, but really liking it overall.

Having played all the games (even the OG isometric ones) I’ve spent most of it like this:

Half way through the second episode really not feeling it, it’s going to be hard to stick with it anyone seen the whole series?

It's just the first film in black and white.Gave up.

Just about to finish it.

It’s one that certainly won’t appeal to everyone, as it’s quite arty in the way it’s filmed in noir black and white in a mock 60’s style.

Thought Andrew Scott was perfect as Ripley, probably the closest anyones got to the character in the book. The rest of the cast not so good.

It’s certainly not a must watch.

Im up to the final episode. Find it totally different to the original film with Matt Damon / Jude Law.

The lead character is phenomenal.

Looking forward to the final episode tomorrow and hopefully it puts the icing on the cake and theres a second season.

Agree. The only thing it has going for it is Anthony Hopkins, overall the trailer looks proper budget. Peacock making it doesn't inspire faith either.

Someone needs to make a new Rome show. I'm still annoyed at how the HBO/BBC one ended. If they could make something like that again but with today's production standards, it would surely be TV gold.

Rome was excellent.

I've started reading it.

I'm gutted it's a limited series. I'd love 10 seasons of this.

If they could put a decent script together covering Nobunaga and Hideyoshi and the rise of Tokugawa(the real Torunaga) it would make for excellent telly.

Its only one season? I agree, i could watch shogun daily...
