Is the CL feasible?
*United could be in for a very rough season. If Van Persie continues to misfire where will the goals come from?
*City should be in the shake up but they look uncharacteristically weak at the back.
*Chelsea might have shot themselves in the foot by deciding that Mata is surplus to requirements.
*Arsenal only have one striker and still haven't addressed their defensive frailties.
*Spurs are reliant on Soldado to replace Bale's goals.
*What effect will Suarez's return have on Liverpool? They still look short of goals.
If Lukaku is the piece on the jigsaw that we've been missing I don't see why we can't mount a serious challenge.
We have sold our top two goalscorers from last season
Agreed; VERY important that we continue to invest in January.
Also, I initially thought that about Vic. However, what's the most he'll ever be worth do you think? I can't see him ever being more than a £5m player. We've done well there.
So we have a record TV deal and we still sell more than we bring in. Be honest: you are not expecting to see it in January are you?
Why do we let them get away with it?
One of which hasn't played a competitive game all season. Do you have your protest signs all ready to go?
Glad we got McCarthy and Lukaku especially.
I hope more people wake up now to the fact we have a gangster running this club given the massive negative net spend we just had. An absolute disgrace of a man who should be run out of town and beaten with sticks.
Obviously not. I'm not sure on the point you're trying to make though? We've still made money this window unless the loan fees came to £10m+ (I very much doubt that) and the wages will have now balanced in our favour following the departure of our highest earners.
It's quite annoying that you only picked up on that point from my post. i.e. the only point that could potentially be argued as a negative, rather than look at all the other positive points I made. Lighten up?
We still lack a real world class footballer which all those teams have at least one of. (Exception being Spurs but I still think their squad is a lot stronger than ours).
Pretty good not happy with fellaini money not being spent though
I love posters like you that really don't have a grasp on the economic realities of the transfer market where EVERTON are concerned.
How long you been following the club mate because it's been like this since I've been supporting the Blues. What I mean by "like this" is that we do what we can to field a competitive team within the CONSTRAINTS of our budget. That means we do loan deals where we can and permanent ones when we can if it makes sense.
I've got no problem with bringing players like Deulofeu, Lukaku, & Barry in on loan to our club.
We could do a whole lot worse.
