Lille's right sided player Stephan Lichtsteiner has completed talking to Everton, Paris St Germain and Lazio and has finally decided to accept Lazio's offer.
The Switzerland international was keeping his options open before deciding on which deal to accept, and although nothing is finalised, he has admitted Lazio is his preferred destination.
He said today: "I talked with the management and the coach of Lazio. The contact went very well. The club really wants me, "he says. It is now that the two clubs reach an agreement for the transfer. I hope that within three days, everything will be settled. "
He still has one year left on his contract but he is confident that Lazio can reach an agreement with Lille, at an expected fee of around €2million.
He has left his options open though, and his second choice would be PSG, as he said: "As long as this is not actually 100%, it is difficult for me to speak. It is for this reason that I would close any door. I have already said that the Paris-SG was an interesting club with a great coach. "
So another target bites the dust and David Moyes will be looking at other options now.
