Top Four Possibility

Got a chance of closing the gap and making it interesting during February but a top 6 is more of a realistic opportunity. Europe definitely in sight.

The Sunday Supplement is basically a journalistic fan club for the Sky 5 - I stopped watching over a year ago. On the rare occasions they deign to mention us, it's to patronise us and treat us with contempt. I still won't watch it then we are kings of the Prem.
I didn't even feel patronised mate. It was pretty insulting tbh, and they're all sitting there nodding their heads like they're privy to some special knowledge.

I consider myself to be quite a reasonable person and accept that we see ourselves differently to the way outsiders do. Plus I always feel we are generally looked upon with a modicum of respect, albeit sometimes begrudgingly bestowed, by the different elements of the game including rival fans. But the journalists who frequent Sunday Supplement are a different breed. Arrogance doesn't begin to describe it.

Rant Over;)

Top 4 is beyond us, top 6 isn't especially given how the RS are playing.

What you'll see at around Easter time is clubs from the elite beginning to realise that top 4 is not possible and they then look at it and think "nah, not worth the chase...especially for a EL millstone around our necks for next season".

In other words, yes there is scope to pick one of those off.

United are on a tremendous run.

Two defeats in the last 22 games (both of them in cup competitions that they won over two legs).

Jose got them under control now, no question.

It's why i said the other day mate, all we should be thinking about is closing with United, chase United and theres a good chance you'll end up passing 2 other teams in doing so.

One at least will come back to us. I said above that'll be down to at least one realising at some stage the CL spots are gone and they wont see a EL spot as a great thing to deal with next season. Look how Liverpool and Chelsea have done without that sack of bleep tournament over the last few seasons.

A win in our next game with Spurs beating the RS will see us 3 points behind and that's when people will start to get nervy.

Push all the way!!

Still think it's impact is overated in huge parts mate, differing clubs/managers etc se ethe comp differently ofc.

I for one enjoy watching us more if we can, so yeah if its EL or nothing then i want to be in it, players also do rate playing in it compared to no european footy and it does provide a slight boost to recruitment etc (not as much as a huge wad of cash ofc)

Don't think the rs will have any say in 'deciding' to misss out on it though mate, there legs have gone throughout the team, Klopps had them until december playing at an intensity level which raised there performances first half of the season way beyond how good they are, and now with no winter break its coming back to haunt them - players breaking down left right and centre, players looking unfit and unable to excecute his system anymore. There going down fast - they may have one last little flurry of 3-4 games at some point, but after that they will be utterly done

Arsenal - think there normal routine of playing when they cant win the league could be in trouble this year, normally there figting at that point to hold off us or a much poorer spurs side for example than the current one, now there in a 6/7 way battle possibly fr it, OZil and Sanchez contracts, the managers contracts etc, could end up seeing them just giving up on the season - and it wouldnt shock me if that happens as theres a lot of uncertainty for arguably the first time there about the future

I would say Arsenal and Liverpool are the ones we could catch, UTD are moving in the right direction and I think City and Spurs have too much quality. This will be year Arsenal miss out on the champs league spot..

This is going to sound crazy - and I never thought I'd hear myself say it - but it feels like Liverpool haven;t invested enough here with Klopp.

I think the plan was to get that stand paid for and hope Klopp's 'genius' would see them over the line of a CL spot then they could hand him some serious cash this summer to get real quality in.

I was made up when FSG bought Liverpool and not an oligarch. This is why.
