Top Four Possibility

we should be looking at picking up 13 over the next 5 games mate, 20 is a very conservative estimate on what we can get

We're looking at winning every game, the way we're playing now, the belief is there, so who knows ? But this is the Premier League, we'll drop points in games we're not expecting to. Right now 20 points is in the range of most likely outcomes. But if we can get 13 from the next 5 then it won't just be us talking about Everton being in the hunt for a top 4 place.

Not sure what results for the Manc sides suit us best today.

City win and the lovables drop to 5th, United lose/draw, and they only 2/3 points above us? Seems sound enough.

edit. Or do we just want everyone above us shipping points anyrate?

Dunno. Both probably!

True but we seem to have a bit of something about us,atm, amount of late goals is massive in showing just how fit the teams become

Realistically I would take one of them not winning today and think that is another great weekend for us. Think both will win, hope we get to see a good Leicester performance today though. Can see City winning easily.

We're on 40 points with 14 games remaining. 60 points is clearly achievable, and 60 points plus will give us a good shout for a top 6 place. For a top 4 place this season you'd be looking at a bare minimum of 70 points, possibly slightly more, and that's a very tough ask over that many games. But not impossible.
Apart from Chelsea the teams above us are dropping unexpected points, which has given us hope. That needs to continue plus we need to keep our own good form up.

Apart from City, we still have to play the teams above and the results in those games will determine our fate I suspect.

I would say we need minimum 65 points to get into top 6 and 70+ points for top 4. Not easy.

Both to lose.

Chelsea are out of sight so they can win the majority for me.

The rest are catchable.

It's fairly simple - you want anyone and everyone above us to lose.

It doesn't matter though, as top four is still not on. As Brennan said earlier, it's a mentality issue - not from the fans as such, but from the squad. You just have to look one result back to Stoke to see the issue.

Can you see Utd winning 7 games?im not so sure, there still playing on 4 fronts and a few key injuries same as us and they are fekked.

Sky make me laugh....not can Everton make top 4/6 and Utd looking over their shoulder..no it's can Utd make up 17 points on City. There is no way Chelsea will lose 6 games this year. No chance

I agree I duno what I want. If Man U fail to beat Leicester today...suddenly An Everton win at Middlesbrough and were 6th. An that's where we normal fail because the pressures on

Who knows, a dip in form for the teams above and if we continue our progress it will be interesting. We are the outsiders so it's the other teams to lose. All we can do is to play game by game and see how it turns out.

We were 14 points behind RS after the derby, now it's just 6.

Liverpool have to play most of the teams around them too, although mostly at the pit. and Arsenal's last 3 is Man Utd, Stoke away, then us at the Emirates.
United aren't a safe bet for a win against anyone these days, and neither are City most weeks. Tottenham blow hot and cold but are the best at grinding out results at the moment, like yesterday with a penalty to beat Boro.
Factor in the end of the season, when the bottom 6 become much tougher, and fixtures-wise we don't really have a harder run than anyone, except for the Anfield,Old Trafford double-header.
Then you have Europe restarting soon, teams could slip up easy after a European game.
Not saying we can do it, but we only have these 14 games to play for. What I don't really want is Thursday night football away in Ukraine or wherever when we could be making a much better challenge next year. Although I'd love us to be in Europe as well..
Football eh?
