Top Four Possibility

It doesn't matter. Chelsea came 10th last season, Leicester came first. This is a whole new season and we've seen enough to guess where our limits are

We're 5 points of 6th having added a very good midfielder to the starting eleven.

To say there is a 'tiny chance' of us getting 6th is nonsense.

And it's interesting you should bring up Chelsea, 13th after 23 games last season and finished 10th.

There is a big difference in Everton playing those sides at home, compared to away. In the past 25 years we have 8 wins in 96 matches against the sides in the top 6 that we still have to play away from home.

We were never going to get top 4 and that was shown last night. But we can still end the season well and 6th is up for grabs. I would personally still see 7th as solid progress under Koeman in his first season and gives us a chance in the summer to attract some better players.
My point is that us not getting top 4 is more down to inconsistency against the sides below us then not picking up a decent haul against the top sides

I don't think so. We'd need at least two teams to really cock it up and we'd need to continue this blistering pace.

I don't think all three of those are going to happen.

But if they do? I'd be over the moon.

I'd never say never but it would take the "win almost every game" consistency of our winning 80's team to get top four.

Not beyond the players and Koemanbachieving this but would take extraordinary consistency

As if on cue, Arsenal and the Kopites start falling apart in spectacular fashion.

It's possible but we're gonna need some help.

We're top of the 'Last 6' Form table with Liverpool bottom... Be nice if that form continues.

Should beat Boro by the way, they're my second team being from the North East and they're awful. Slow, no movement and not really improved from the Championship run when they were pretty lucky to hang on to promotion.

I'd probably take 7th if we end this season the way we've started the year, if teams above us happen to falter, then that would be most appreciated. We've got pretty much the easiest home run in of all the top 7 but our away run in is going to decide where we finish IMO.
