Pickford is one of the best players Everton have at the moment and hopefully a player we'll have for another 5 or 10 years because he'll only get better.
Goalkeepers are never going to be perfect. When they make a mistake it often costs a goal so they get massively criticised for it.
What Everton need is a solid back 4 that can work with Pickford to make sure he doesn't have much to do.
Other than De Gea I can't think of another keeper in the prem I'd swap Pickford for.

Ok, he's been just above average in a shocking team. Can you say that last season at any time you thought "thank goodness we had Pickford there today, he turned a loss into a draw / a draw into a win"? There was no heroics whereby he was the difference.

He's a good enough GK for us - which makes him a good PL GK, I suppose. But you need to give your head a wobble if you think he's top class.

Stoke game was all about Rooney's goal. Even game and he was the difference. Cant remember B'mouth home game.
My point is let's not re-write history. He's been a perfectly reasonable GK for us but he's not in Nigel Martyn's class let alone Big Nev. He's ok. Just that really.

Id rather Southgate than the gravylord, he was on the radio this morning sticking his two pence worth in, basically saying that against Sweden he would change to a back four and change a few of the players about also managed to mention that Pickford was about 2 inches too short, i really can't stand him and im so glad he has gone.
