This idea that there’s a media conspiracy against Everton is honestly embarrassing.

Their is no conspiracy at all and I don't think most people do think that.
However the continual name dropping and favouritism does exist.
We haven't won anything is beards and so are irrelevant to most of them, we're not on their radar and they don't feel pressurised into praising anything about us.
But there is no question the media and especially the televised media is disproportionately loaded with ex players from certain clubs.
I have spoken with other clubs fans about this and the general feeling is that it's the clubs that have had the most recent success get represented because they are relevant in the TV companies eyes. I would agree with that rational. However ex players understandably tend to have an affinity with their ex clubs which not always but a lot of the time muddies their view and criticism. It's human nature but you can't pretend it doesn't exist.
Anyone who doesn't see this is honestly limited in their vision.

He’s still only a young lad as well, keepers peak later than most outfield players too. If he stays with us for the next ten years we will have gone up a level or two because he’s only going to get better with experience
