I would say that’s probably irrefutable , I’d say the biggest growing threat is probably from the far right . Semantics being key in any discussion of this nature .

Nah - I was having a chat to a mate of mine recently on this subject, he is a DI and he doesn't believe the far right are a big threat. They are not organised nationally and only pose limited local threats - usually involving gobbing off and throwing patio furniture around.

Interesting... I've been at a few events with Senior Counter Terrorism police, who have specifically highlighted far right/extreme far right groups as cause for concern largely because they are difficult to police and might lend themselves to 'lone wolf' style attacks. They also reckon that it's a reaction to jihadist terror activities as a reciprocal action, which is supported by Eastern European and Russian groups and growing confidence in far right groups in USA. Perhaps there's a degree of difference in national and local picture or the people at my events said it to highlight a significant rise, in what has traditionally, not been an area of great concern. But National Action were the first far right group to be banned in the UK since the 40's and first far right prescribed organisation under Terrorism Act.

Who knows - locals round here don't see a problem. As you say, there might be a national counter-terrorism picture that's not yet being fully passed down the chain to local forces.

Probably not at odds with each other as a stance really.

Locally far right not organised and not an issue. Nationally, the far right aren't especially organised, certainly not to the levels of islamist Terror groups, but potential for a few lone actors. Like Tommy Robinson inspired Darren Osborne.

Nationally, I know that there is concern about language and rhetoric from the likes of Tommy Robinson fuelling those individuals.

I've also noted that SYL supporters claim to defend women, but they sure as hell love making disgusting remarks about left-wing women or women who disagree with them, survivors included.
