With regards to terrorism, the greatest perceived threats to this country are currently from Islamic terrorist and dissident Irish Nationalists - fact.

I would say that’s probably irrefutable , I’d say the biggest growing threat is probably from the far right . Semantics being key in any discussion of this nature .

Are Islamic extremists 'far right' or just religious terrorists?
Many originally stem from Wahhabism which is an ultra conservative form of Islam, so 'right' on the spectrum of Islamic beliefs rather than in the political sense.

With such beliefs however, there is often a form of view and government (if that's what you can often call it) that has similarties with the typical right-wing view.

You'd be surprised. Publicly, it's receiving a lot of attention and rightly so - NZ for example - and the threat is growing, but it's by no way a concern like others.

That's not disregarding a very real threat, but the current analysis would suggest it's a much more ad-hoc and less organised model than those mentioned earlier.

I’m out having a beer so not in a position to discuss massively but the issue is what’s the biggest growing threat ? Whether it’s as hoc or not it doesn’t change that i suspect it’s the far right . Given the established thread of Islamic extremism and is .org Republicans I can’t imagine anyone skews presenting a similar growing problem .

That's part of the point. Don't get me wrong, right-wing extremism is a growing concern and in the public eye it is understandably growing from small origins.

So if we're talking about growth to something more sizeable, say a deemed national concern, then yes it probably is the fasted growing threat.

However, the issue is much more complex than that: certain organisations have the capability to expand in a very short period of time and take significant action.

We're talking about strong financial support, influence in positions power (here or abroad) and a variety of weapons and experience at their disposal.

Some of these organisations, while already established threats, are a very growing concern because of their capabilities and certain external factors.

If you were to ask someone in Box 500 who they're really concerned about in the foreseeable future, with regards to a sustained growing concern, I suspect...

I know the answer. Nevertheless, like I said right-wing extremism shouldn't be dismissed as it has its own traits hat are worrying - lone wolf attacks for example.

Well that’s why I mentioned semantics earlier Phil . In reality given what I’ve gathered about your former occupation and considering what I did I was careful to address that . I don’t and won’t believe it’s reasonable to compare the threat of Irish Republicans or Islamic extremism to the far right . That doesn’t mean that the biggest growing problem isnt the far right , i feel that’s dependent on where the starting point is.
