Tom Hanks "pretty good" four movies are?

The first person was Tim Robbins, it was a 90's movie and god damn awful and i swore i would never watch another thing with him in. Over the years a lot of family and friends have tried to make me watch Shawshank Redemption but I will not relent on this.

Nicholas Cage was on the list for a while due to The Weather Man. Tom Cruise for about a decade. I had a spreadsheet on a old works laptop for the reasons why.

It was an awful movie. Kick Ass brought him back into the light.
I don't subscribe to this theory. Actors in and of themselves are not responsible for the quality of a movie. Between signing on and final release there are countless circumstances beyond their control - script changes, directorial decisions, editing, reshoots based on screenings.

To deny yourself Cage due to a film's awfulness is truly throwing the baby out with the bath water.

I agree, but i was young and stubborn.

I'm older and still stubborn. But, I have relented in a way.
