Tom Hanks "pretty good" four movies are?

I liked him as Walt Disney in Saving Mr Banks with Emma Thompson. The film bent the truth a bit but that's showbiz.

I also think he should run for President.

I`m generally not a big fan of Mr Hanks, as I generally find he plays the same character over and over again, but here goes.

In no particular order :

Big - just great fun.
The Road to Perdition - an amazing performance, in a truly great film.
Toy Story - Woody is just a great character and no one else could`ve done him, as well as Hanks.
Bachelor Party - a guilty pleasure.

* Not a patch on Saint Nic Cage.

Those 3 are certs. Then it gets trickier for me to name the next best.

I really like Bridge of Spies tbh. Might go for it.

I think he's been very successful at his thing, but I wouldn't rush to watch a movie because of him. I'm not having Road to Perdition because of Jude Law.

I've missed a lot of his movies as I went through a period of time around 20 years ago of boycotting movies if a certain actor was in it.

He joined that list due to Castaway.

A few years back I went round to my sister in laws for something to eat and she and my wife had got a DVD with Hanks in and also Sandra Bullock in ( She is on my boycott list ) after moaning for a while i said stick it on. When the end credits rolled i gladly stated " Told you so "

He's even good as Geppetto in the new Pinocchio - doesn't save the film as it's awful but not down to him.
