Siggy on the bench next week for Davies for me, I wouldn’t rush Gomes back just yet but Davies will offer more energy than siggy that’s for sure

Gomes is fit. I was worried but not after today.

Another full week training. He'll be good to go.

Very mature for such a young man. I think he is a future club captain.

I'd rather have Davies on the bench than Delph and Siggi. They're both at (or beyond) their peak and based upon this season they are not good enough for us. There is still plenty of scope for Davies to improve and have an impact this season. Yes, I'd rather have someone better for next season but that will be a job for Brands.

Plus there is also the question of having a number of UK players in the squad.
