Another loan will simply be a sign he’s not good enough. If he’s the talent we hope, Dyche will want access to him next season. I’d go as far as saying if he goes on loan he has no future at Everton.
I've been quite critical of the approach to sell younger players, particularly ISS this summer, but you are absolutely right on this. It gets to a point with a player, that if they arent good enough, you may be best cashing in your chips.
He has shown he is good enough for the championship. Short of tearing the league up, its difficult to see what value is added for him doing it again. He will just be doing the ame thing again, but be a year older.
I'm hopeful the club start to make decisions on players a bit more, play the ones who are good enough and sell the ones who arent a bit earlier, rather than delaying the decision with lots of loans.
