Tom Cannon

Selling Cannon, Warrington or Branthwaite would be absolutely mind blowing.
We’d replace them with overpaid journey men wanting one last contract for 6 times the money who’d be out most of the season injured.
It would indeed.

Each of these sales frees up cash to fund the 5-6m that Mosh needs to payoff chairman bill. Crazy and warped as that sounds, these may be linked.

Even I hope for Bill’s sake that isn’t true. I wouldn’t be shocked if he magically leaves after all of this

Selling Branthwaite would be both mind blowing and signal a surrender.

Cannon a surprise but Warrington hasnt torn up games has he?

£3mil seems low to me though...£7.5mil
For me the silliest one to sell is probably Cannon if we're talking 3 or 4 mil or whatever. Cannon has 2 years on Simms and is already as good if not better, so there's no point selling for less. At the same time he's probably not done quite enough to make a club pay much more, so basically you don't sell- you either loan him again to bring his value up to where it should be or you keep him for the squad, but it's totally the wrong point in time to sell.

I don't want to sell either, but given that he has achieved more and would fetch much more if we're THAT desperate for money it makes more sense to punt Branthwaite.

Fire sale. The club is plummeting out of control. The money brought in from these lads will pay for another duds loan wages.
Who has said they will be sold.... apart from idle speculation ?

Of course clubs will want Cannon... doesn't mean he will be sold.

Warrington has been on loan for the last eighteen months playing regularly with Tranmere and Fleetwood and getting good review, maybe Dyche will have a good look at him in preseason and decide how to use him.

There is a well founded view , articles in the Athletic etc that the club currently have an open door policy for bids on any of our young players because we need the money . Events of the past week seem to confirm this and there’s no contradictory evidence coming out of the club. The question is really whether Championship clubs who would happily take Cannon on loan would take a punt on buying him .

Exactly. He's at very least a cheap, low wage replacement for Tom Davies. Along with Onyango, they are bodies in the event we are short. Any midfield signings we should be making should be looking at being 1st choice.

I think that's exactly what it is. Things SEEM a certain way and the media are laping it up. In reality, whether we agree or not, Dyche obviously deems Simms to be surplus and not what he is looking for, based on 5 months of working with him. He's gone to Coventry, so there is obviously an understanding that he himself is not ready for PL football.

ISS has obviously been identified and advised by Lampard's knowledge of the player, and had his head turned by money and an agent looking for the big deal. As far as i'm aware, him and Odin are not local, so there's no real loyalty to the club, and he obviously sees £25k per week at Chelsea as a deal he can't refuse, and honestly, who can blame him?

IMO Cannon is one to keep. He has good movement and knows how to finish (albeit lower level)

20 starts for Preston with 8 goals could have seen him score possibly 12-20 goals in a full season..............and how much do they go for from the Championship
Gyökeres that everyone is creaming about scored about 0,46 goals/game or a goal every 192 min. He is 25 years now and the fee will be done around €20M
Cannon scored 0,4 goals/game or a goal every 210 min in the same league last season. He is 20 years old and rumored to be sold for €3M.

We have had some good times............
