To be honest, its been an odd year.

That RS squad is probably the smallest to ever be in/or at least win the league. The fact they weren't stretched as a squad is a big factor.

Also, I think after 3 seasons of being pretty [Poor language removed], there was no real pressure. When it did come along, they were already ploughing through it on form.

I can't see them getting anywhere near the title and will struggle for top 4 next season when everyone else bolsters.

Its painful. But have to say fair play.

Just wish to fook we'd get that top 4 spot.

Finally someone has the balls to call out the refs on all the crap they have been pulling this season (though it clearly has been going on since the start of the premier league), though I am sure the cult of Liverpool (aka the media) will turn on Jose now.

Anyone who doesn't think that he is completely right will after clattenberg ensures arsenal get 4th tomorrow.

What Mourinho said after the game about he thanks his players, Sunderland, the Mike Dean his performance was fantastic I think a really amazing performance and Mike Riley because,'the way he organised things this season, referees doing really well according to the objectives so also congratulations to Mike Riley'.

Mourinho has questioned the integrity of Mike Riley. Will be interesting to see how far this rumbles.

I would dock Newcastle 20 points for those comments.

It's a statement designed to provoke scrutiny of the people who gave Clattenburg, for example, the key game of the season amongst other ridiculous appointments, one which a team involved in it he had obvious prior controversial associations with.

It should have been said weeks ago by Mourinho. However, I think he maybe still saw City as the danger a month or so back.

i think they'll be struggling for top 4 next season, unless they strengthen drastically tbh. would have to have a lot of luck with sturridge and suarez staying injury free anyway.

They (kopites) were saying it was a conspiracy to let united win the league

you're saying its a conspiracy to let the rs win the league

when decisions go in favour of those you hate, whether justified or not, people pipe up. They did for 20 years and now you've started.
Nonsense. There's no comparison in my calling into question decisions made in Liverpool's favour (and other decisions against their rivals for the big prize) with Kopites having a general anti-United bias when liverpool had no dog in the fight.

Title run in: Chelsea, unbeatable at home for years, have a goal ruled out and a dodgy pen given against them.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here.

I wonder what Jason Cundy will make of this statement on Chelsea TV. Last time he defended Mourinho and said he was right to highlight how the RS dominate the media. It was all over Talksport until Cundy's Chelsea TV rant then they dropped it like a hot potato. Maybe he is too knowledgeable about the inner workings of the media.

The FA can't ignore such a statement so hopefully this rumbles on. If this happened in another country and a team got so many dubious decisions in their favour and a manager questioned the integrity of the refs supremo, some investigative journalist would probably be on to it to make a name for themselves. But in this country. Well.

This sounds so much like "they won't win it" as they were rattling up the points scoring 5 at spurs and charging up the table.

The biggest mistake in footy is underestimating the devils spawn they'll come out the blocks next year like rabid dogs to prove everyone wrong - they'll love it being written off defending champions.

i just don't rate a lot of their squad tbh. might just be because they're RS. but people like brad jones, johnson, enrique, skrtel, sakho, toure, allen, lucas, henderson, coutinho, borini, aspas, alberto? etc. they're all a bit meh, aren't they?

Wouldn't hold my breath on that over here. Too busy getting their snouts in the Premier League trough.

I expect Mourinho to be bollocked and ridiculed a bit...but the underlying point will have been made (and no doubt added to by others shortly) and the undercurrent will have been created...which is what Mourinho had in mind, I'm pretty sure.

Liverpool have done well this season, no question. But even without less games to play they've needed a huge leg up in terms of decision making from officials, and that has been noted and must be addressed.

Unfortunately they are champions. We can only hope this season's refereeing performances are properly scrutinised as being pretty outrageous and it's never repeated again.
