Dont blame the likes of Sunderland or Palace or whoever for taking points off Liverpool's nearest rivals. Point the finger at the people who Mourinho pointed at roughly an hour ago. His statement about refereeing appointments and decisions given in the last two months was bang on the money.

Of course, the refs are just monkeys dancing to the industry owner's tune, and the PL are right at the back of all this. The brand will get a boost in foreign markets with Liverpool winning the title. At a time when the brand's best selling product United are in the doldrums, this was easily the most logical business decision to make.

12 penalties and all the other favourable breaks for them, and against their opponents, was a necessary measure to keep other leagues at bay in those foreign markets.
