Makes a change that you're actually supporting us rather than constantly bitching about everything at the club

This.

I think the haters need to consider what Martinez would make of:

- some Evertonians chanting "murderers" at Liverpool fans
- some Evertonians calling other blues "kopites!" for criticising the above
- the mass of hateful bile reserved for our chairman

If we want Bobby to stay at our club, we better not show him this hateful side too often.

a clear conscience indeed...

What are you going on about?

Everyone knows we don't like Liverpool and their antics on the pitch. Plus some of the history of antics off it.

Well documented.

indeed, martinez would be ashamed of fans making murderer chants etc

he's a man of positivity, he doesn't think about liverpool except for two times a season.

Considering his stance on the club crest and the fans' reaction to it, I think he'd understand it as part of the game. Doesn't mean he'd condone it but the man understands things without having to make a show of it. He wouldn't have thrown a fit like Moyes did at Hibbert's testimonial when the pitch got invaded, I'm as certain of that as I can be.

not gonna get into all that heysel stuff mate but those lot ruined any chance of us going on to further success and who knows entering into the sky era with a quality side, I'll never forgive them for that and whilst I wouldn't personally chant murderers etc. I can see why people do it in the heat of the moment.

on BK its fair to say he's holding us back, moyes was full of optimism when he first joined, 10 years under kenwright and IMO he lost hope and became bitter, boring and predictable, lets see how Martinez is like after 10 years of selling to buy.

It's fine... Let the kopites lead themselves into a false sense of security...
Come the 28th of January, they are gonna get a football lesson of note that will knock them right off that pedestal!

This cowering away from Liverpool on here: anyone willing to contradict the following statement - "If Begovic and Huth played today Liverpool would not have won".

???

Exactly.

Air tight argument there...

You could also say had Agger and Enrique not been injured for them, Stoke may not have scored 3.

Injuries happen to all teams, it affects almost every Premier League game. Thats not luck, that's when the quality of a "squad" is truly tested.

If Liverpool lose Suarez next week against Villa, and he's out for a few weeks, it's not luck on our part if we then go and beat them at their place is it?. No, just as it wouldn't be lucky for them if they manage a result and we don't have Barkley.

These things happen in Football. Look at United without Rooney and Van Persie, in the midst of a bad run but nobody with any common sense is labelling it unlucky.

Everyone knows we don't like Liverpool.

Of course we don't like them. But do we hate them with an insane vein-bursting fervour?

Some do, most actually don't.

How could Moyes not like that? What a grumpy tit. That's one of the finest moments in our recent history.

Fair reasoned post, Doug.

Turn it in lad.

Might well do, thread seems to have calmed down now.
