Not a single Newcastle player in an offside position blocking the ball's path or Hart's view of it. Madness.

got to be honest, seeing pardew shouting at the ref, you can only watch and laugh. it's the wrong decision, but i'm not really arsed. especially after that game at GP.

Harsh decision my arse. That was defo interfering with play, btw. Two of them standing in offside positions in front of Hart.

They might both have been in an offside position but in terms of the current rule they were not interfering, Dave. Are you watching the game through the bottom of a milk bottle by any chance?

Hart didn't dive because of that player though, it's definitely offside.

The ball is going to hit him then he jumps out of the way at the last second, clearly puts Hart off.

If he wasn't stood there Hart would have dived, surely.

ask her if she agrees we should go back to the old offside rule ha?

when the ball is kicked forward if they're offside it's offside. Obviously common sence can prevail sometimes where if the keeper is passing it 2 yards to the right back and a striker is offside on the half way line, you don't give it.

but anything else, give it. it's so ****ing simple, why bring this interfering with play bollocks in? just asking to cause controversy. we see it all the time, morons in charge of this game atm.

What you've written there just sums up why the rule is how it is though, surely ? Common sense should dictate what just happened there was never an offside, as none of the players in an offside position interfered with Hart's ability to save the shot or touched it on its way to goal.

In slow motion it looks like the presence of that player puts Hart off diving. If that's the case in real time then he was interfering.

which is what i've been saying. hart could be expecting it to deflect of gouffran which makes him think for an extra second and that's the difference between him saving it or not - we don't know do we. hence why i said, i can see why it's been given.

it's a matter of opinion rather than a law, i have no idea why they brought this "interfering with play" **** in. You have sympathy with the officials, the game is fast enough how it is, how are they suppose to know players' thinking and reactions as well? impossible.

Correct.

The officials got it right....then they went to pieces and that ref has acted like a jellyfish since it happened. He needs to get a grip.
