if he wasn't standing 10 yards offside it wouldn't be an issue.

should have stayed onside. the thing is, even if it did graze him and was the correct decision, these fans would still be reacting the same way.

Why isn't the ref paused the game for a minute or so just to calm it down?

got to be honest, i wouldn't if it was newcastle.

should just call the captain over and ask him to calm his players down but cabaye is a mug and just got himself booked for doing just that, so what can you do?

It was pretty much a guess from the official and one he got horrendously wrong.
