If both the RS and finish on 7pts (with Basle getting a draw at Anfield) is it the head-to-head record first then GD or is it GD first?

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: "You asked me at the beginning if the team was strong enough but you saw how good they were. To come here, where they win in threes and fours, to keep the game as close as it was showed the quality of our performance. We had the courage to play and I'm very proud of the team tonight. We showed wonderful composure.
"I knew what I was doing. I knew what the team would be tonight. We are disappointed with the result but there are many positives tonight. Some of the young players did very well.
"There's every chance of us qualifying still. We always thought it would come down to the last game and it is in our hands.
Christ !

This quote demonstrates how important it is that Rodgers stays at Liverpool. Similar to Pardew at Newcastle

How the 'mighty' measure success, eh?

I can't wait for the CL this week. We have a 3-point banker at home and also get to see Liverpool at the Bernabeu what more could I ask for lol

Not nervous that you are tempting fate there Red?

May the vaults show you mercy young sir.

So close to just praising the players and then right back to form with the me, me, look at me mantra.

@red1 ...I like you mate and consider you a valued GOT contributor....but that 'banker 3 points' claim of yours has raised a smile. Last boxing day, a lot of us Evertonians said the same about Sunderland...the lesson learned here is that no game is a 3 point banker
I think I've learnt my lesson lol Even I didn't think we were going to be this bad and I'm usually a pessimist, Monreal all over the place, and beating Mertesacker to a last minute header..really? What planet am I on? Shambles all over. Oh well.

Oh and how on earth did Ramsey come back from injury so quickly...they promised he would be out for at least a month and a bit if I recall, absolutely shocking today. I hope he only played today because he will be dropped on the weekend like the last couple of weeks. We might also need to a sign an out of contract centre back at some point, Monreal won't cut it.

CL spots are really up for grabs this year. Barring Chelsea (who appear a cut above)...and Southampton (??), all the other likely suspects, EFC included, look so goddamn ordinary. But, at the risk of repeating myself from previous posts, one fact of Premier League life you can bank on, Arsenal will make it.

But, if I was an Arsenal fan, I would be very underwhelmed by merely making CL (and getting eliminated in first knock out round) for the umpteenth year. A change at the top is required by your club
