" In 1915, when Football ended because of World War One, Chelsea and Spurs had finished bottom of the first division and Arsenal were sixth in Division two. The League planned to expand the first division by two clubs and precedent dictated that the two bottom clubs would stay up and the top two in the second division would join them. Sir Henry had other ideas. To this day the details of exactly what occurred at the league's meeting in March 1919 remains a mystery, but by the end of the day, Arsenal had been voted into the first division and Spurs voted out. Arsenal have never been out of the top flight since."
Disagree mate
They are far worse than us
There's no point even arguing it. There is no argument. It's just the way it is
It's obscure in the context of this forum, I guess. I have absolutely no feelings towards Arsenal. They just sort of sit there in 4th, not troubling anyone.
I think you need to get out a bit more mate.Yeah sure. "They" as an entire fanbase are worse than "us" as an entire fanbase due to comments made by a couple of Arsenal fans similar to comments made by a couple of Everton fans. Which would be way more than a couple of Everton fans if we were in the same position as them
It's obscure and frankly ridiculous.
Not personal towards Mikey, he's far from the only person who makes the whole "oh god their fans are all so deluded/classless/stupid etc etc" comments about another clubs fans other pretty much any negative/unrealistic comments they make about their team.
Which fair enough is just basic tribalism coming through, but it seems any common sense or unbiased thinking goes out the window.
I guess i'll never understand why it's so hard for football fans to not criticise an entire fanbase of a rival team for doing things that the fanbase of the team they support are guilty of. Stop for a second and think about it.
For instance, there's a couple of people on here saying they think Barkley fell on Sat rather than diving. If the same comment had been made on RAWK about Sterling loads of people would rush to post of here about how deluded and blinkered they are.
Football supporters say stupid things regardless of what team they support. Why the need to then label the whole fanbase as something because of comments of some. And then cry if a rival teams fan does to us.
But i guess i answered that earlier, it's human nature and basic tribalism coming to the fore.
So sorry for the rant but i'll always find it daft.

Crikey, and we think we have rights to be bitter about the 'special dispensation'. This is something else!
How can anyone actually like Woolwich?
They started in East London (Dial Square) moved to South London (Woolwich), played there for 27 years & then moved (in extremely dodgy circumstances) to North London & then moved again breaking untold promises to the locals in the process.
What would you think if a 27 year old Manc moved to Merseyside & called himself a Liverpudlian?
They are the original MK Dons no matter what way they try & spin it.
